LADIES OF OZ
Ladies of Oz is a contemporary portraiture project by Camille Serisier that explores the lives of Australian women. This exciting project uses the language of theatre to create fantastical still and moving images that critically engage the intersection of art history and women’s history. A dedicated Youtube Channel shares short films about the lives of each woman. They are also promoted through posters and cards featuring film stills and biographical details designed for purchase and distribution. Original storyboard drawings and props are displayed as part of the series.
Select works will be on display at SGAR from Sept 10 to Oct 22, 2016.
